Technological Innovation
Selecting among three technologies , Digital, VoIP, and Analog) or using all three technologies. No need to select one over the other. One control unit has all three. Modern system need to offer all three for the following applications:
1-Digital for the on site office use which avoids imposition of voice calls on the Local Area Network (LAN);
2-Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) affords remote uses the same telephone function from their home office; and
3-Analog device that use the basic telephone interface for sub-system like cordless telephone and access control.
The Proven Most Reliable-Digital-Best for connections where data networks are not up to Ethernet standards. Digital with very few exceptions, meet the needs of most staffers.
For onsite, main offices, the digital telephone is the most likely to be employed for replacement of existing telephones; use the existing wires to have as many as four telephones connected to each existing wire.
The Most Popular-VoIP-Offers the most advanced feature set versus digital. Advanced features, for example, color LCD displays, usually are not required by most staffers.
For new installations and all offsite applications, use the VoIP telephones. However, at main sites, VoIP is not recommended unless the data networking, data switches that supports VoIP telephones, is evaluated to show that the switches and wire connections support the voice priority VoIP telephones. With Avaya the digital and VoIP telephones off almost identical features.
